Work From Home Google Links

Question: Google’s advertising employment for stay-at-home folks. Is it legit?

Google is advertising that you can now work for them from home (see http://www.marysmoneyblog.com/index.php?t202id=7465&t202kw=blueeyes ) The ad says, “Get paid $5 to $30 for every website link that you post on Google. No one needs to buy anything from you or Google in order to get paid. Weekly paychecks. Can work from home computer.” Is this legit? Thank you.

Answer: This is a basically a scam, and a prolific one. You will find numerous emails, websites, etc. pointing out how easy it is to do this. Google is not hiring people to work from home (not in this way, at least), and, if they were, they would be using their own website to promote it, not marysmoneyblog.com.

Adresses this specific scam

I would take a hard look at the link you posted above. If you click on the links that the blog suggests, you are taken to a site that is clearly misrepresenting, if not fraudulent. For instance, look at all the network logos: MSN, CNN, CNBC, USA Today at the top. Doesn’t this suggest that there have been endorsements from these networks? Yet read the fine print at the bottom of the page, and it is clear that they have no relationship with this site.

If you want to make money with Google’s Ad product, it will actually take long, hard work.

I commend your question — glad to know that people are critically thinking about this kind of thing.
