Question: Starting a small home based business? Need advice.?

I would like to make a website so that I can sell some of my hand made crafts online, but what do I need to do before getting a website?

Do I need a business license?
Do I need to register the business name? (I have a name in mind)
What exactly is a domain and do I need one?
I’m thinking of using a free site until the business can pay for its own, I have checked out homestead.com, and bonanzle but I am thinking of going with vista print…Any advice?

How to advertise online for a home based business opportunity to the US Market?
I’ve got a great programme that I’ve joined that’s making me about $2,500 a week.
