Question: Advise on looking for a new telecommunting position as a business analyst?

I am leaving my job after 18 years, 10 of which have been as a Business Analyst in the New York area. I am moving to the rural Midwest to be with my husband who has found a good job there. It doesn’t look like my current company will allow me to telecommute from home . Does anyone have any suggestions on what resources I can look at to find a job with a company that needs a well experienced Business Analyst and will allow me to telecommute? The town that I’m moving to is very small and there is no scope for me to work there. I would be willing to travel, but not too often since we have a young daughter who is under 1 year old.

Answer: I would suggest doing a basic job search on Monster.com or some other job search engine. Find the companies closest to your new home and call them directly to inquire if they are/would hire telecommuter for your position. Many companies have positions available to will soon have one available that they do not advertise for. So don’t be discouraged if the job search engines don’t specifically state that the position is telecommuting.

Question: Looking for legit Work From Home Opportunities online?

Not so long ago I asked a question about how to market a work from home business. Many people wrote inviting me to do their program without answering my question. A stay at home mom with young children wrote letting me know what to look for and the company she worked for. I’d like to know more about legitimate companies.
