Question: Where to live in Colorado? (See details)?

I’m considering moving to Colorado, buying a lot and building a house. I want to be within about a 30 minute (more or less) drive to a city, doesn’t have to be a big city, but I don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere (i.e. a place with jobs..) I am looking for a scenic place that has mountain views, trees, privacy, etc. I am looking at Gunnison. Anyone live(d) there? Did you like it? Suggestions for any other small cities? The size of the city is not a factor, as I could certainly work from home with the career I’m interested in, but my boyfriend is a writer and would probably look for a job with a local newspaper or something.

I used to live there. I had to move for my job but it is great. I absoutly loved it. its pretty small about 20 minutes from the city and its just awesome. it really hurt having to leave.
