Question: Has anyone heard of a company called STR Healthcare International?

It is supposedly based in London. I got a work-at-home job offer from them through Monster, to cash checks for them and wire them 90% of the money. Sounds like a scam, but I thought I would check.
I sent an email requesting a website and phone number for the company. So far I have received no reply. If I don’t receive a reply within a few days, I’ll ask Monster to investigate and try update you with the results. Thanks!

Answer: I got the same offer from this company through career builder, I have sent them a reply e-mail asking the same thing, I will update you as soon as I get an answer back from them.

I also told them that if I were to take the job, the bank account that I would use to deposit money in has to be provided to me by them so that I can cash checks right into that account. And finally I told them that I wouldn’t send any money until the checks were cleared.

I did all of this because about a year or so ago there was a story in the news in which a company asked to send money before checks had cleared, and once the “employee” sent the money (about 3 or 4 thousand dollars) the checks never cleared. so I would be cautious of this kind of offer.
