Question: Should I take this job?

I recently got offered a job to work at a disney store in santa monica which is 15 mins from LA. I live in LA but my mom told me i can’t take the job cause its too far away yet i’m 18 and i’m in college in santa monica. I love my mom dearly but she always been overprotected over me. She concerned about how i’ll get home at night since i don’t have a car but i do take the bus to school n its the same route. My question yes i live with my mom and i love her but should i take the job though i don’t have her support because i love this opportunity and i’m not a bad person. I’m just in college trying to get a job…………… so should i take the job

Answer: Help your mother to understand that you are an adult now and that you want to try out your wings to see how you fly on your own. Realize that mothers will always be mothers and they will always be concerned for their children’s welfare – that is if they are a decent mother.

Even if she is financially able to keep supporting you, I recommend that you take the job and show to her that you can become independent as a man should be.

Question: Where can I apply for an at home medical transcription job? I have previous medical transcription experience.

I have worked as an office based medical transcriptionist in the Pathology field for approximately 6 years. I am interested in working at home typing medical transcription.

Answer: Put an ad in the paper, work wanted. Maybe you will get some calls. Or you can research it online at jobs.com maybe? I just graduated from college for this and I haven’t looked for a job yet. My school said they would help me. I will also be working from home because I have children. Try your local doctors or hospitals and see if they can tell you anything. They may give you a job to do at home. We had a lady speaker come in to talk to us about jobs and she said she works in a hospital, and they give jobs for home. That’s where I am going to look.
